PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Low-profile design was developed to seal when space is limited

Two-piece, combination seal neoprene washer encased in stainless steel metal cup

  Reusable

Partner well with hex, round, truss, binding, pan, fillister or socket head fasteners

Accommodates flat or oval headed fasteners either flat or angled under the head

  Standard in 300 stainless steel

PERFORMANCE ADVANTAGE

Applying torque forces the flat surface of the washer to conform to the underside of the fastener and results in metal-to-metal contact and a perfect seal.

A low torque washer recommended for fastening requirements under 50 inch-pounds

WASHER SEALANTS

      Neoprene

  Stable, non-aging

  Withstands temperatures of -80 °F to 300 °F

Chemically resistant to water, gasoline, petroleum oils, salt sprays, alkalis, acids, organic and aromatic solvents, detergents, ozone, hydrocarbons, oxygenated and chlorinated solvents and alcohols.

Recommended applications: Refrigerants (freon, ammonia), high aniline point petroleum oils, mild acid resistance and silicate ester lubricants.

Withstands up to 6,000 lbs psi hydrostatic pressure

      Viton®

  A high-performance elastomer providing excellent stability from 400 °F to -10 °F.

Resistant to aggressive fuels, oils, chemicals, most mineral acids, compression set, mold, fungus and many aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbon fluids that act as solvents for other rubbers. Exceptionally good resistance to atmospheric oxidation, sun, and weather.

Good electrical properties in low voltage, low frequency applications.

Low burning characteristics; inherently more resistant to burning than other non-fluorinated hydrocarbon rubbers.

      EPDM

  Serviceable temperature range from 250 °F to -40 °F

Excellent resistance to effects of aging, ozone, weather, heat, animal and vegetable oils and many chemicals

Not recommended for use with mineral oils, solvents, petroleum oils or fluids

      Silicone

Wide operating range from 600 °F to -100 °F with a longer service life in adverse environments

Virtually unaffected by extreme weather conditions, ozone and ultraviolet rays

Physiologically inert, no taste or smell

  Excellent sealing performance

Should not be used with high steam, esters, acids and hydrocarbon products
